Blocks... blocks... blocks....

Yes, that's what constantly echoes inside our builders' heads! But hey, they’ve gotta work somehow, those lazybones...

On MineShoku Tensei, we use highly advanced building techniques in order to provide you with the most immersive experience possible on our map. Because yes, without even realizing it, this is the map you’ll interact with the most, the one that will give you the most emotions, but above all, it’s the one you’ll see the most. Honestly, it’s not that complicated: to enjoy this cloud of visual pleasure, you just have to connect to the server!

WHAT!? So what are you waiting for? Join the server already!

On a more serious note, let’s talk about how we build the map, and the techniques we use. Building a map isn’t just about having a few ideas, especially when you want to faithfully recreate buildings and landscapes inspired by an anime or a light novel. Indeed, our work begins with an investigation.

So let’s put on our deerstalker hats, grab our magnifying glasses, and go search for the most valuable files! The investigation starts with a simple internet search. The easiest way is to browse through Google Images or a few fan forums. That’s how we gather images of the iconic locations from the Six-Faced World.

On top of that, we enjoy watching, again and again and again… ah... almost forgot: again, and again... the anime episodes in order to gather even more references.

You might say that having images is great. And yes, I agree, they look great. But that’s not enough.

Needless to say, many of these images are inconsistent. And yes... if you didn’t know, every camera angle is adjusted to look as good as possible on screen. That’s what creates inconsistencies between all the references we gather.

That’s where the real work begins. We have to eliminate the references that are too minor in the way they represent our target, or those that are completely different from the result we want to achieve.

Ah... what a pleasure (that’s ironic).

So now we finally have a clear idea! All that’s left is to open Minecraft and place some blocks! If only it were that simple... Before Minecraft, we need a plan. A plan for the places we’re going to build together. I’ll spare you the details, but our drawings look a lot like coloring pages made by very young children still learning how to write...

Now we can finally open Minecraft: an amazing super well-drawn plan in hand, rock-solid reference images, and the blocks are just waiting for us.

This is obviously the biggest part of the work, and it can sometimes take several hours, days, or even weeks for the largest projects. Our mission at this stage is to recreate the main elements of the Six-Faced World as faithfully as possible, while preserving the dynamic feeling of the Mushoku Tensei universe.

Because these blocks we place, they’re for you, dear players. We want to offer you the most precious thing the Build Section can provide: a map worthy of its name, one you will never forget.

That reminds me, but thank you for the 20,000 members on the Discord! YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY! In just 9 months, the community has grown at an incredible speed… and you know what they say: the more, the merrier!

You can’t imagine how motivating it is to have such an active community, because if we’re here today, it’s especially thanks to all of you.

So thank you everyone!! 💖

See you soon!

I wonder what we’ll talk about next time...
